EliteXC preview: Kimbo Slice vs. James Thompson

The Main Event of the evening! Kimbo Slice(2-0, 2-0 EliteXC) vs. James Thompson (14-8, 0-1 EliteXC). Well if anyone saw This American Life on Showtime the other the night that's basically what this fight is. Kimbo is the upcoming mega-star and he needs to build his resumé. Thompson is his 'opponent' or in other words a can, punching bag, out of towner, stiff or bum. Thompson is 2-6 in his past 8 fights going back to 2006. (Definition: A can is someone who is not an automatic victory. A can is someone you bring in to compete and hopefully lose to build up your fighter and that is what Thompson is.)

There isn't much to really talk about with this fight but expect Kimbo to win. If he doesn't though there will be a whole shit ton of trash talking coming from every fighter in the UFC and Dana White. Vegas has the odds at -600 for Kimbo and +400 for Thompson. If you have fifty bucks you don't mind losing might as well put it down on Thompson and pray, a lot. Kimbo by TKO in the first round.
