UFC 84 Preview: John Koppenhaver vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida

John Koppenhaver (5-1, 1-0 UFC) vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida (9-1, 0-0 UFC)

How many times have we seen this fight. The TUF alumni who just beat the other TUF guy in the season finale gets to fight some newbie in the UFC. Picking these fights is like a crap shoot. Yoshida is a Shooto fighter with decent ground and pound, three of his last four victories came from TKO's. Koppenhaver’s on the other hand specialize in chokes with the law (http://www.10news.com/news/15371890/detail.html).
We all remember Koppenhaver’s victory of fellow TUF alumn J-Rock, but the John was always a head case on the show and who knows how he’ll do on a pay per view. Well his nickname is ‘War Machine’ and considering that I am a staunch capitalist, America has picked Iron Man as its favorite movie so by association War Machine as its favorite fighter.
