UFC 84 Preview: Tito Ortiz vs. Lyoto Machida

Tito Ortiz (15-5-1, (14-5-1 UFC) vs. Lyoto Machida (12-0, 4-0 UFC) vs.

Now this should be Co-Co-Main Event! The fact that it isn’t probably irks Tito, which just makes the fight all the more interesting. This fight has so many ramifications for MMA and the UFC I am sure Dana White will have an aniorism at some point (please god offer a Dana White cam on the pay-per-view).

Lyoto hasn’t lost…EVER! (Yea Karate!) And Tito has only loss to Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture, though he does have a draw to Rashad Evans due to a point deduction and he really hasn’t beaten anyone besides Ken Shamrock recently but who cares!

This fight probably won’t be a stand up brawl, Machida enjoys the chess match (7 of his wins are by decision). And Tito recent confession of owning a multi-billion dollar business on the Apprentice means he might not want to damage his face. So this could be a snooze fest.

Betus.com has the odds at Machida -210 and Ortiz +165 (as of Tuesday)
Sportbet.com has the odds even more in Machida’s favor -225 to Ortiz at +175 (as of Tuesday)

Though it pains me I will go with bookies, Machida by decision, Dana White with huge grin while talking shit galore and Tito Ortiz will join EltieXC.
