UFC 85 Preview: Michael Bisping vs. Jason Day

Michael Bisping (15-1, 5-1 UFC) vs. Jason Day (17-5, 1-0 UFC)

The last time Bisping fought in England he was the benefactor of a little hometown favoritism (that's putting it mildly, check it out here). Bisping was awarded a split decision over Matt Hamill. A lot of American fans and U.K. fans were pissed at him, some thought his image would never recover. Well it did, Bisping wrote a lengthy apology and then lost another split decision to Rashad Evans. He then dropped in weight and looked fantastic in his victory over Charles McCarthy. Bisping was suppose to fight fellow TUF alumni Chris Leben but Leben had to go and get himself arrested. So in steps UFC newcomer Jason Day. Day recently defeat Alan Belcher by TKO. Day is a fighter who finishes fights, only 1 decision in his career. Both fighters will probably stand and trade punches but with how crisp and athletic Bisping looked in his middleweight debut he is easily the favorite. Vegas has Michael Bisping at -340 and Jason Day at +260.

Our pick, Bisping by TKO in the second round. If not that than by British bias in a split decision.
