CBS exerting its control

The rumors that Gary Shaw's role would be reduced in EliteXC seems to be true. According to the Junkie Shaw's role will be predominately behind the scenes and focus on using his contacts and promoting skills.
The big news out of this though is CBS' commitment to MMA or at least in gaining more control in what product they are putting on the network. The higher-ups in CBS have invested into ELiteXC's parent company ProElite. Their influence at ProElite allowed them to relegate Shaw. But it is a positive that CBS is exerting their control. It indicates commitment to mixed martial arts.
