Our first bit of news about the financial cost and return of Affliction: Banned has come out. The live gate is impressive at 14,832 (11,242 paid with a 3,590 complimentary attendance) giving a total gate earnings of $2.1 million. But there is this little thing called salaries which topped at $3.3 million, which doesn't include the cost of booking the fight or the production cost. But the $1.2 million difference can be made up with a reasonable 30,000 PPV buys. We still won't know how well Banned did until accurate PPV buys become public.
