UFC 86 preliminary Previews: Jorge Gurgel vs. Cole Miller

Jorge Gurgel (12-3, 3-2 UFC) vs. Cole Miller (13-3, 2-1 UFC)

Two TUF alums and two Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighters, Joe Silva is not being very subtle in this match up. Gurgel’s UFC career has been one big fat disappointment with all of his fights going to decisions and many being eye-gouging boring i.e. Alvin Robinson fight. A loss now for Gurgel may end his fighting career in the UFC but considering he is best buds with UFC poster boy Rich Franklin that day may still be far off.

Cole is in the same boat as Jorge. After a recent loss and Cole discussed the possibility of dropping to 145lbs. If he loses again he might do that and transfer into the WEC.

Thank god this is a preliminary fight because I have no interest in watching them fight.
