UFC 86 Preview: Ricardo Almeida vs. Patrick Cote

Ricardo Almeida (9-2, 1-0 UFC) vs. Patrick Cote (12-4, 3-4 UFC)

Patrick Cote had rough go of it when he entered the UFC losing his first four fights to Tito Ortiz, Joe Doerksen, Chris Leben and the TUF 4 'The Comeback' finale/title shot to Travis Lutter.

Things turned around when he defeated Jason MacDonald (and TUF alum slayer) in MFC 9 - No Excuses. Then he proceeded to defeat current EliteXC #1 middleweight contender Scott Smith. Followed with consecutive wins over Kendall Grove and Drew McFedries.

Now he is fighting Ricardo Almeida an excellent submission fighter. Almeida's last fight he submitted Rob Yundt in a minute. Considering Cote's issues with grappling/submission fighters he will be on moving constantly (hopefully not like everybody's favorite Canadian Kalib Starnes) to avoid the clinch and the take down. Almeida will win the fight through a submission.

The odds are Patrick Cote at +100 and Ricardo Almeida at -130. Great fight to beat on Almeida. your picking the favorite and it pays off 77% of what you bet.
