Anderson Silva (21-4, 6-0 UFC) vs. James Irvin (14-4, 4-3 UFC)
There isn't much to say about Anderson Silva, despite being arguably the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Silva when get a chance to prove that title when he moves up in weight (from 185 to 205) to fight James Irvin.
While Irvin is a huge underdog, he's at +440, he isn't acting like one. Irvin is displaying rash confidence claiming to be immune of fear while stating that Silva's feared Thai clinch isn't technical. In all fairness to Irvin he has faced big punchers before, and Silva is fighting at Irvin's optimal weight.
But Silva has fought at higher weights than the 185lbs. he dominates at in the UFC.
There is no way any sane man would pick Irvin over Silva. And considering I am not Heath Ledger as the Joker I have no problem sticking with Silva. Anderson Silva by KO in the first round.
