Dana White is pissed!

From the bloodyelbow about Dana White's recent radio appearance,

"He is obviously very unhappy with Roger Huerta. He basically called him a moron for complaining and bitching about PR. Said he hasn't beat anyone to justify millions of dollars that he's demanding, but if he beats Kenny Florian it's a different story. (This week in the Observer, Dave Meltzer reported Huerta is asking for a bigger contract than BJ Penn has.)"

We need an adjective to describe it when Dana White starts doing what Dana White does, namely flailing around his arms with a an expletive laden rant. It really is fun to listen to Dana White at times but seriously the dude needs to smoke a little Pineapple Express and relax.

Notice though how White is screaming and moaning about the fact that Huerta hasn't really fought anyone (not true he did beat Clay Guida). Well Dana, this is what happens when you prtoect a fighter in order to build a fan base, in this case a Hispanics. Once the fighter realizes, "hey, I am a valuable commodity because I am popular and a draw. I want more money and to be taken care of as oppose to being treated like Keith Jardine." Not really a big surprise. I call it the athlete gets a brain syndrome.

Man would I love to see Michael Bisping pull this shit off. The dude is basically the UFC's only UK star. Could you imagine the shit Dana White would say about him? "He couldn't even beat a deaf guy and we threw the fight for him! And he wants more money? How about I give him a fighter other than a guy from TUF and lets see how he does"

But seriously I don't understand how Dana gets along with anyone. When there is a disagreement in the UFC office does Dana just throw fire fluid all over everything and lights a match screaming, 'you want to burn baby!' You know they could try and work this out in some viably equitable situation for the both. Or, I know don't baby a fighter along for five-fucking fights!

That being said, Huerta doesn't deserve B.J. Penn money, and asking for it is ridiculous, even in a negotiating strategy. Being laughed at kind of hurts your position when you want more money. Still the UFC should work on making him happy with a incentive pay ladder. You get a bonus equal to some percentage based formula upon meta-rankings. So the tougher competition you fight the more money you get. Not really that hard to figure out. Then you will be paying fighters based upon skill and quality of opponents. That way you don't have malcontents who go all T.O. on you.
