K.J. Noons receives 24 hours ultimatum


Has this ever happened before? EliteXC contacted mmajunkie.com late last night to inform them that EliteXC had given K.J. Noons a 24 hour deadline to accept the fight with Nick Diaz on CBS' October 4th show. Jared Shaw said this, "A bout agreement has been sent to KJ Noons. He has until 5 (p.m. PT Thursday) to accept it, or he can face public opinion."

I know what public opinion will be if he turns this down, K.J. Noons = Kalib Starnes. Not that another infamous coward wouldn't light up the message boards and bring a little more traffic to this fine establishment.

The real question in all this is why hasn't Noons accepted this fight? EliteXC might not be around that long and you are being offered a fight that can give you a shit ton of free press. Take the deal! If Noons doesn't take the fight the only explanation that anyone could think of is that he is ducking Nick Diaz. And that is saying it favorably.
