Another example of Football being more violent than MMA

Here at WKR, we are committed to debunking the myth that MMA is the most violent sport in America. Building on some previous items about the uber-violent NFL comes this revelation from Sports Illustrated's Peter King. Two hundred and eight NFL players have been injured this year. Including ten quarterbacks and twenty pro bowlers. While some injuries are simply a pulled groin or hamstring others are far worse. Tom Brady's torn ACL is the most high profile season ending injury, but then there is Cincinnati Bengals' first round draft pick Keith Rivers, who suffered a broken jaw and is out for the year. Last night Rodney Harrison of the New England Patriots tore his quadriceps which will most likely end his career. Reggie Bush needs surgery on his knee and Brain Westbrook has two broken ribs.

Now MMA is not without injuries or violence. But this is a good representation of the amount of physical damage football players endure. Yet again we see that football is more violent than MMA.
