An Invesitigation? Soon we are going to have to call this Kimbogate

Remember when Seth Petruzelli claimed that the fight promoters would pay him something special if he kept the fight with Kimbo Slice standing? I knew you couldn't forget. Some decried fix (again) demanding an investigation while Petruzelli quickly backed off his previous statement.

Well Kimbogate just became official,

"the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation -- which oversees the State Boxing Commission -- said Thursday that it has opened a preliminary investigation into the matter."

Its not like it is going to take Woodward and Bernstein to figure this one out. Look the VP of EliteXC went bat-shit crazy as Kimbo hit the mat knocked out.

I have a friend who doesn't like MMA, he feels it is too much like boxing. Right after the news broke of a possible fix he said, "see MMA is fixed just like boxing, now do you know why I hate it." While I pointed out the fallacy of his statement it is hard to argue that the Kimbo fights weren't. Overall Kimbo Slice looks like a bad chapter in MMA.
