Deadspin to MMA blogosphere "Stop Yelling at Me!"

Awhile back Deadspin ran an article mocking Lloyd Irvin for stopping a burglary at his home. Deadspin felt the story wasn't truthful because no newspaper or non-MMA site picked it up. Without contacting Irvin or D.C. police Rick Chandler ran a post mocking Irvin for the story as reported on bloodyelboew.com. Well considering the burglary involved gunmen seizing Irvin's family at gunpoint he was little pissed off. Deadspin backed off and posted a quasi-retraction later. Well now the 9-1-1 call is out (not for the weak of heart, truly terrifying) and Irvin is equally pissed that the original post is still up.

In the whole ordeal, Deadspin has been the recipients of MMA's finest through the joys of internet flaming. And they just want it to stop. Hopefully this will serve as a good template as what not to do when writing a blog post.
