Athletes need to stop driving motorcycles

Will Ribero, a bantamweight fighter for the WEC, was involved in motorcycle accident in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
"Ribeiro was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet. The street they were riding on was slick due to rain. Ribeiro was rushed to a local hospital and underwent emergency surgery."
"My assistant said that the doctor said for sure that he (Ribeiro) has lost sight in one of his eyes … He’s still in a coma. After surgery the doctor said there is a 50-50 shot that he will come out of it (survive)."
Hopefully he pulls through.
This is the second fighter to be injured in a motorcycle accident. Frank Mir destroyed his ACL in a motorcycle accident several years ago. Evan Tanner died of exposure when his motorcycle ran out of gas. If you look at the NFL Ben Roethlisberger almost died in a motorcycle accident and Kellen Winslow destroyed his ACL as well.
Motorcycles are unsafe and.....wait a second my phone is ringing........it is the UFC and WEC sponsor Harley-Davidson, hold on just a second.
I regret to inform you that this part of the opinion piece was eliminated due to...err.....conflict of interest.
