Mario Yamasaki will let the fight continue [Update]

Mario Yamasaki has always been a slow when it comes to stopping fights. Mario likes to get up there close and see those last few punches to a bloodied opponent who is unable to defend himself. Matt Hughes yelled at Yamasaki after Robbie Lawler defeated 'Ninja Rua' in a fight that clearly went too long in EltieXC.

Mario's violent voyeurism never really caused any damage, well until last night. Steve Cantwell had Razak Al-Hassan arm trapped in a perfect armbar. As Al-Hassan tried to role the arm just got caught deeper in the submission. Mario stood over waiting for a tap that obviously wasn't coming. Then the snap occurred and the fight was over.

While refs are suppose to wait for the tap they are suppose to also protect the health of a fighter unwilling to concede. Al-Hassan showed that he wasn't going to quit and that is why Yamasaki should've stopped the fight. Instead we are left with horror porn imagery.

[Update: Steve Cofield of Yahoo Sports is reporting that Al-Hassan's arm did not break. Instead he suffered a dislocated elbow]
