New Year's, Dynamite and Eddie Alvaerz

Tomorrow is New Year's Eve, people will go to bars, make out with old girlfriends (or boyfriends), make resolutions that they will break in a month and overall have a grand ole' time.

For the MMA fan, tomorrow will be the time to watch K-1 FieLDS Dynamite!! 2008.

While the format is a Prix, something that some North American fight fans aren't used to experiencing, it is still more then worth watching. By far the most interesting fight will be between Eddie Alvarez and Shinya Aoki for the vacant WAMMA lightweight championship. Alvarez fought in two fights in 2008 that are easily in the top-five for best fights for the entire year.

So this New Year's, I will be watching Alvarez instead of toasting champagne.
