Hector Lombard Injured: Maybe we won't get to see Kalib after all
MMA Weekly is reporting that Hector Lombard has suffered a concussion placing his upcoming fight with Kalib Starnes in potential danger.
Lombard and Starnes were suppose to fight in October for Caged Fighting Championships in Queensland, Australia. With the news of Lombard's injury that event has been canceled. The CFC is attempting to reschedule the event for November 20th and Lombard will wait to hear offers.
"I would like to fight every month," he said. "Maybe six fights, seven fights (in 2010), no problem. I want to fight the best: Jake Shields, Nick Diaz, anybody that can give me contention for a belt."
Hector Lombard is the current Bellator middleweight champion and any fight outside of the organization needs to be approved by Bellator. Late November may be an interesting date as Bellator's second season is slated for the first quarter of 2010. Six weeks may be too short of a turnaround for Lombard.

good luck with other organizations wanting to let u fight for their title while you have this other title to defend….sigh. i can’t find the middle ground between guys making a living and avoiding the hassle of scheduling for 2 different promotions.
