Rumor: Wanderlei Silva vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama

I am still catching up on news/rumor due to my absence last week but I thought it was important to pass along this rumor courtesy of SB Nation.
Luke Thomas of Bloodyelbow.com was hearing some chatter that Wanderlei Silva vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama is being considered for UFC 108.
UFC 108, while set for January 2nd, will take on the role of the UFC's traditional mega-event to end the year. A fight between Wanderlei and Yoshihiro would certainly fit the pre-requisite of a mega-event especially if this would end up being the second fight of the evening.
Currently a middleweight championship bout between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort is rumored to headline UFC 108 on January 2nd in Las Vegas, Nevada.

i was thinking the same about japan. this would be huge if it was in japan.

yup its going to be interesting for sure. hes not the youngest guy in the world.
also ive been amazed at how bad his cardio is in fights recently. with his ridulous training regimine you’d figure he can go 5 rounds no problem but he looks half dead in round 2. if i were id rethink his training altogether.
