Kimbo Slice vs. Roy Nelson Ratings
If there was any doubt that Kimbo Slice is the top MMA draw then the issue was safely put to rest with the release of last night's TUF ratings.
The third episode of the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter drew an average of 5.3 million viewers through the episode's entire hour. During the last fifteen minutes of the show, when the fight actually occurred, the average viewers reached 6.1 million. That makes Kimbo Slice vs. Roy Nelson the highest rated TUF episode ever (which beat the record set by the first episode of season ten) and the fourth most watched fight in MMA history. In fact Kimbo Slice holds the #1, 3 and 4 positions on the most-watched MMA fights list.
Unfortunately for the fans that tuned in last night the fight was complete garbage and the fighter people came to see can't wrestle his way out of a paper bag.
I guess this answers the question; Kimbo Slice is indeed too marketable to fail.
