Carlos Condit vs. Paul Daley for UFC 108

I hate to say it but Carlos Condit looks like Robert Pattinson of Twilight.

I hate to say it but Carlos Condit looks like Robert Pattinson of Twilight.

WKR's welterweight fantasy tournament has reached its final round and the UFC is equally eager to find a #1 contender for Georges St. Pierre.

Fighter's Only is reporting that Carlos Condit (24-5) will fight Paul Daley (22-8-2) at UFC 108 on January 2nd.

This fight has a tinge of irony as Daley recently arrived to the UFC and defeated Martin Kampmann in his debut fight at UFC 103. Kampmann had previously defeated former WEC welterweight champion Carlos Condit.

When Condit entered the UFC many saw him as a potential opponent for Georges St. Pierre but the split decision loss to Kampmann appeared to force Condit to start from scratch. Yet now, with Daley's upset victory over Martin Kampmann, it seems that Condit's UFC trajectory has been reset to what it was when he arrived in the UFC.

It would be very interesting if Condit wins this. It would put Daley, Kampmann, and Condit at the same level with them all beating each other.

IMO, Condit’s been changing gyms a little too much lately and has really been pushed hard his last few fights. It’ll be interesting to see how Greg Jackson adds his style to what Condit already brings. Should be good fight!

This is a bad fight for Condit. His wrestling is not good enough to put Daley on his ass and it is the only way he beats him at this point. Condit sure recovers relatively quickly and could sub Daley as he is coming in on the ground after he knocks Condit down but that’s the only way I see Condit winning. Condit’s defense on the feet sucks and Daley will knock him out.
