Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in line for a title shot

According to Inside Fights, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will be next in line for a heavyweight title shot and face the winner of the Lesnar-Carwin fight.

Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin are scheduled to fight for the heavyweight title at UFC 106.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (32-5-1) recently defeated Randy Couture in the main event of UFC 102. Nogueira is the only fighter to hold a title in the same division in both Pride and the UFC. Rodrigo is 3-1 in his past four fights with an extremely poor showing in a loss against Frank Mir at UFC 92.

Cain Velasquez was previously rumored to be in line for a title shot. Velasquez is set to fight former IFL standout Ben Rothwell at UFC 104.
