UFC 104 Results

UFC 104 takes place tonight from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The fight card features the first title defense of light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. Also, top heavyweight prospect, Cain Velasquez, battles IFL and Affliction veteran Ben Rothwell. Yesterday Anthony Johnson missed weight by a whopping 6lbs. Will a difficult weight cut hurt Johnson when he faces Yoshiyuki Yoshida?

  • Cain Velasquez defeats Ben Rothwell via TKO (punches) - Round 2, 0:58.
  • Gleison Tibau def. Josh Neer via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).

Machida

I am sorry but to all those who had Shogun winning I thought Machida landed the harder strikes and didn’t put himself in any danger during the fight. The judges had it right for once.

Nobody's perfect...well there was this one guy but we killed him.

I saw rounds 4 and 5 for Shogun and 3 to Machida.

Rounds 1 and 2 were anybody’s guess in my opinion.
