Georges St. Pierre and Dan Hardy as TUF Coaches? (Update)

The Telegraph is reporting that Dan Hardy and Georges St. Pierre are under consideration as coaches for the eleventh season of The Ultimate Fighter.
WKR's first reaction to this news was a gigantic shrug. Would the UFC really go down the a main event, title fight route again, especially after what happened to Serra vs. Hughes and Rampage vs. Rasahd?
But after thinking about it more, St. Pierre and Hardy would make excellent TUF coaches. Georges St. Pierre is quickly becoming one of, if not the most marketable UFC fighter and Dan Hardy would further lend legitimacy to Zuffa's U.K. expansion. Also this gives the UFC wiggle room in the welterweight division to find a new number one contender plus give St. Pierre time to heal.
Dana White also told MMA Junkie that The Ultimate Fighter will be taking a more international flavor in order to build the UFC's MMA brand throughout the world. Thus it would behoove the UFC to feature two international stars on their reality show.
Maybe this isn't such a bad idea after all.

Heavy.com reports that Hardy and St. Pierre are "not under consideration" for TUF 11 coaches.
Sources close to the UFC have informed Heavy.com that the story is not true. Coaches have yet to be decided for season 11 of the popular reality show, but St. Pierre and Hardy are not currently among the contenders and likely won't be under consideration at any point in the future. St. Pierre wants to get back in the cage as soon as possible and coaching the show would delay his return until mid-summer 2010.
I guess that means St. Pierre vs. Hardy in Vancouver in early 2010...

I’d always envisioned TUF as a platform to repackage older fighters, with experience and a shitton of fights under their belt. Guys who actually might be a servicable coach and instructor. I’m not a big fan of young master Hardy, but that has nothing to do with my disdain for his consideration for a coaching slot. I want the coaches to be a bit more weathered than he or Evans for that sake. But what to do with them at the end of the season? That’s the hitch, because they will want and deserve a fight. If they are still an active fighter. So is it possible to have ‘permanent’ coaches? And bring in current fighters as guest stars sorta, to train along with the teams?

I am so burnt on TUF in general. I haven’t even watched a full season in a long time.

nooooooooooo
tuf has really blew its wad in my opinon. is so tired now. this season has been as close to awful and dull as you can get. if it wasn’t for rampages comedy bits it would be unwatchable.
the last thing the ufc should do is but their welterweight title on the mend while their heavyweight, light heavy, & middleweight champs are all changing their tampons and not fighting.
make uriah faber and miguel torres coaches. especially if the wec is going to fold and merge with the ufc.

For the record, I’ve only watched a pair of full episodes myself.
