Was the Third Round of Ortiz vs. Griffin a 10-8 Round?

One of the pseudo-controversies of the Ortiz-Griffin fight was whether or not the third round was a 10-8 round in favor of Griffin. WKR certainly thought it was but the judges didn't agree. As is always the case with close fights WKR looks towards statistical analysis to get a better sense of what happened.

Fight Metric provides some very one sided data for the third round.

Holy crap, Ortiz's performance rating for the third round was crap.

Just seven punches thrown by Ortiz in the third round, yikes.

Grappling stats after the jump.

The takedown attempt stats don't reveal how lazy Ortiz's attempts were.

The numbers indicate that the third round was clearly a 10-8 round.

I thought right after watching the fight the last rd. should’ve been 10 to 8 Forrest just like the last rd. of the Amir/Baroni fight.
Both cases each fighter was completely gassed and offered no offense just took shots from the other guy but finished the rd.
