Darril Schoonover Recalled to Active Duty
MMA Fanhouse passes along a report that TUF 10 cast member, and Rampage hater, Darril Schoonover has been called to active duty.
Darrill Schoonover, a cast member of the current season of The Ultimate Fighter, has been called back to active military duty in the U.S. Army, and will have to report shortly after his Dec. 5 fight on the TUF finale.
Schoonover, who previously served four years in the Army, believes he may be called to serve in Afghanistan, according to an interview he conducted with Shambala Sports Radio."At first I was kind of pissed," he said. "I was like, 'I've already served my country for four years and been out for almost two years.' I'm getting my fighting started and getting the ball rolling on that. I was kind of mad, but the very next day, I just accepted it. I'll do what I gotta do, and then I'll come back and work on my fighting."
Schoonover wouldn't be the first fighter to be called to military service. Joe Louis enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II, though he was used as a USO asset rather than a traditional soldier. Muhammad Ali was drafted during the Vietnam war but refused to serve on religious grounds.
WKR wants to offer our best wishes to Darrill.

Not to get political, but this is really unbelievable. My best wishes to Darrill and I hope he stays safe!
This sucks.
The Army should know that the UFC is more important! (It’s a joke… don’t freak out)
But this does really put a damper on his UFC career. He has been an interesting prospect to me on the show as he is one of the few fighters to show skill on the ground. I wonder if his December 5th fight will be for the TUF Crown?!
