Houston Alexander Confirms Kimbo Slice Fight
Bloodyelbow passes along this quote from Houston Alexander talking to 92.3 FM Todd N Tyler's.
"Yeah, Kevin Ferguson. On December 5th. The fight was presented to us and we didn't even hesitate. My hand is healed from the Sherman Pendergarst fight."
The rumored Alexander-Slice bout has been around for weeks and it isn't really shocking news that Slice is fighting on The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale (the dude is ratings gold). Spike and Zuffa were holding off on announcing an opponent until after the two-hour season finale this Wednesday in hopes of hoodwinking fans to tune in for the chance of seeing Kimbo Slice return to the competition.
However, Spike has already tipped their hand when it comes to the Kimbo story-line on TUF. Last week's episode featured Slice tweaking his knee and getting medical advice from a doctor. For a normal cast-member (say Matt Mitrione) we don't get to see the meeting with the doctor but for Kimbo we do.
Why the discrepancy?
It isn't hard to conclude that Spike showed us the medical check up for Slice's knee injury as built in cover for when a spot opens up in the final episode and Kimbo declines it in favor of getting healthy to return for the The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale.
