Dana White believes Dan Henderson has signed with Strikeforce

For those curious about the status of the UFC's negotiations with Dan Henderson Dana White made some interesting comments to Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports.
"I guarantee you 1,000 percent that Dan Henderson is signed by Strikeforce."
At first glance, WKR believed that this was the latest attempt by the UFC to isolate Dan Henderson and continue to press the narrative that Dan Henderson has already left Zuffa. After all, if Henderson has signed with Strikeforce why hasn't Strikeforce announced it? Not to mention the fact that Strikeforce CEO, Scott Coker, is mum on the situation.
"Honestly, I got a call from Dan's management a couple of days ago telling me Dan had turned down the UFC's offer," Coker said. "I guess the UFC made an offer and put a deadline on it. They turned it down and were calling to talk to me, but I told him I have this huge fight and there's a tremendous amount going on and I couldn't really deal with it at this point."
But after a solid nine hours of sleep Dana White's assertion isn't so outlandish.
Dan Henderson is already planning on attending Strikeforce: Emelianenko vs. Rogers (Team Quest fighters are on the card), thus one would think that if Henderson has indeed signed with Strikeforce, they would most likely wait till the event to announce their free agent acquisition. Strikeforce would then be able to promote an obvious future main event between Henderson and the winner of Mousasi vs. Sokoudjou.
However, if Saturday comes and goes with no announcement from Strikeforce then it will appear that WKR's first instinct was correct. Dana White is simply trying to box Henderson in and his hand to sign for the contract the UFC already offered.
One thing is for sure, the UFC won't compromise their initial offer.
Update: Henderson's management says that Dan has yet to sign with any promotion.
