Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers Results
Arguably the best mixed martial arts event of the winter of 2009 takes place tonight on CBS at 9:00pm ET. It also happens to be the return of MMA to network television since October of 2008.
Strikeforce: Emelianenko vs. Rogers features a main event fight between consensus #1 ranked heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers. This fight will also be for the WAMMA heavyweight title. Strikeforce will crown a new middleweight champion as Jake Shields and Jason "Mayhem" Miller fight for the newly vacant middleweight title.
Current Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi will fight Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou in a non-title fight. Antonio Silva and Fabricio Werdum meet in first fight of the evening, which could determine the future challenger for the winner of Fedor vs. Rogers.

- Jake Shields def. Jason "Mayhem" Miller via unanimous decision (48-47, 49-46, 49-46). Jake Shields is the new Strikeforce middleweight champion.

Congratulations to Fedor. I like him but Rogers gave him problems and he’s not even a top 10 heavyweight. His team made the right decision not coming to the UFC.

idk, Rogers is right at the edge of the top-ten if not in the bottom half of it.
after all I am not sure what the diff is between Shane Carwin/Cain Velasquez and Brett Rogers
