Fedor Delivers! Knocks out Brett Rogers

Fedor Emelianenko did what he seems to do every time he fights in the United States: knock out his opponent to the delight of MMA fans everywhere.

The knockout punch came early in the second round. While Fedor and Rogers traded punches the crowd traded chants of "Fedor!" and "U-S-A!" As the two fighters clinched Emelianenko attacked with a flurry of wild punches but Rogers circled out and clinched. As they separated from  both fighters took a brief breather. When they went to re-engage Fedor unloaded a massive right hand that landed with the thud of an anvil. Rogers collapsed and Fedor jumped in with a few more strikes to finish the fight.

For Brett Rogers it was a disappointing result. Rogers began the fight so well, landing a flush jab, which, most likely, broke Emelianenko's nose. As the blood gushed out it appeared that Rogers was gaining confidence. After all, the unbeatable fighter was bleeding. He was human. Rogers followed that jab with excellent stand-up and at one point he was able to unleash a torrent of ground-and-pound. But it wouldn't be enough to dethrone "The Last Emperor."

Yet Fedor was able to bounce back and win in the second round. Once again Fedor, proved  why he is considered the greatest fighter of his generation.

For Brett Rogers, he put on an impressive performance for such a young fighter and he should be able to build from this.

Fedor Emelianenko def. Brett Rogers via TKO (strikes) - Round 2, 1:48.

The man can throw hands, no doubt. What a great fight. He stays so busy the entire time, no wonder he;s so damn hard to beat. Speed, power and accuracy packed in a dumpling.
