Benji Radach Withdraws from Robbie Lawler Fight (Update)
Sherdog is reporting that Benji Radach will be unable to fight Robbie Lawler at Strikeforce: Evolution.
Radach's agent, Ken Pavia, said the fighter still hasn't been medically cleared to begin training again following surgery on his right hand last April. Radach, 30, broke his hand in multiple places during his third-round loss to Scott Smith at Strikeforce "Shamrock vs. Diaz" on April 11. Pavia said Radach would be cleared "soon" to resume training, but didn't give a specific timeline.
Lawler will still compete on the "Evolution" fight card but no word yet on who he will fight. Perhaps Strikeforce should call Jason MacDonald?
Update: MMA Fanhouse is reporting that Trevor Prangley (22-5) is the top choice to replace Radach.

Great Card
This card is still amazing. It clearly does not cater to the casual fan, but i am literally excited for one reason or another for every fight on the card.

I’m really looking foward to Cung Le and Scott Smith going at it.

The amount of withdraws from fights this year is staggering. The reasons have been a shotgun of causes… injuries, personal issues, other ventures… it’s pretty sad.

maybe it is a sign of evolution of the sport (pun intended). Seriously, with more people watching and fighters showing more care about their career they are less likely to participate unless 100% healthy. They are protecting themselves more than they used. We may experience some withdrawals, but the quality of the fight is hopefully better.
That or this has just been a bat shit crazy year

Jason MacDonald is fighting at MFC on Friday though… assuming he does quick work of Solomon Hutcherson there I guess he could do it… unlikely though…

yeah, unlikely. I guess I was just trying to find a name MW who could step in real quick

Very hard one. There is not a lot of quality MW out there that can step up that quick. Prangley just won pretty fast, he might do it…
