Down Goes Tyson Griffin! (Update)

Photo

The hits just keep on piling up for Zuffa and UFC 108.

MMA Junkie is reporting that Tyson Griffin will be unable to fight at UFC 108 due to an injury preventing him from training.

Griffin was slated to fight Jim Miller on the main card for UFC 108. It remains to be seen whether the UFC finds a lightweight fighter to replace  Griffin or if they promote a fight from the undercard.

Sean Sherk vs. Rafeallo Oliveira could take the place of Griffin vs. Miller or the UFC could replace Griffin with Sherk.

C'mon now

This has to be a union-forming ploy. Has to be.

Either that, or we need some serious health-care reform.

For some reason, Sherk vs Miller intrigues me more than Griffin vs Miller. Mainly, because I’m curious to see if Sherk has really fallen off. He had a gimme against Oliveira (then again Brock Larson had two straight gimmes and is now unemployed) but now Sherk has his work cut out for him.
