Columbus will host WEC 47: Bowles vs. Cruz

When the UFC announced that they would skip Columbus, Ohio in March, Ohio MMA fans let out a collective groan of disappointment. Yet hope springs eternal as Zuffa announced that the WEC planned on holding an event to coincide with The Arnold Sports Festival. Now MMA fans have an event and a title fight to look forward to.
MMA Junkie reports that World Extreme Cagefighting will hold WEC 47 in Columbus on March 6th. The event will feature a title fight between newly crowned bantamweight champion, Brian Bowles (8-0) and Dominick Cruz (14-1).
Currently there is no venue secured. Zuffa previously held their events at Nationwide Arena.
