Jon Jones vs. Brandon Vera set for March 21st on Versus

It's late and I want to watch WEC Best of 2009 on Versus so here is the latest news courtesy of MMA Junkie regarding the recently announced Brandon Vera Jon Jones bout.
Jones and Vera have verbally agreed to meet on March 21 in an unannounced event that's planned as the UFC's first live event with its new broadcast partner, Versus.
News of the Versus broadcast was first reported by Sherdog.com, and MMAjunkie.com has since verified the plans with sources close to the network.
The Sherdog report that the Junkie cites states,
Jon Jones and Brandon Vera will meet in a light heavyweight headliner at a UFC event on March 21 in Denver, Sherdog.com has learned from multiple sources.
The event and its venue have not been officially announced by the promotion yet, though Sherdog.com has learned the event will air live on Versus.
Looks like Versus will begin their UFC deal with a bang. Then again, 'Mile High' wasn't very kind to the fighters the last time the UFC was there.

BE said this fight will be tougher for Jones than what you might think at first glance but I see it being the other way around, I can’t see how Vera won’t be fighting off his back most of the fight if that’s where Jones wants it to go. Has Vera ever won via submission? Everyone in the UFC is a “blackbelt” but very few of them ever use it.

i kind of agree, but hesitantly. Vera may not be the blue-chipper we hoped for, but his muay thai is solid and against couture he showed strong takedown defense. Randy and Jones may take you down differently, but if Vera’s defense is solid then his striking may cause problems for Jones. Jones has not faced a proficient striker like Vera before.
Also, there were a good amount of people who felt Vera beat Couture. If the decision had gone his way would we be hanging up his career just yet?
