UFC books the TD Garden in Boston for August

The Boston Herald is reporting that the UFC has booked the TD Garden for August 28th, 2010.

Of course Dana White is as excited as fanboy at Comic Con.

"Believe me when I tell you, I'm gonna bring it back this summer," White told the Herald. "I'm going to put on a show that's going to blow the (expletive) roof off that place."

Blowing the roof off may mean that Brock Lesnar will be on the card but White nipped that idea in the bud quickly.

So the UFC is set to go to TD Garden in August 2010. But what happened to Dana White's desire to hold an event in Fenway Park? That's on hold till 2011.

With the plans in place to hold a show at the Garden, White’s desire to have an event at Fenway Park has been temporarily shelved. But White said he still wants to have a show at the ballpark, with the summer of 2011 the most likely date.
