King Mo KOs Mike Whitehead
No big surprise here as King Mo had an advantage in most aspects. This was an opportunity to showcase Strikeforce's new talent and that is what happened. Despite the exciting finish, the fight was lackluster. King Mo spent most of the time showboating with his hands at his waist trying to bait Whitehead. Eventually one of Mo's loooooopy punches landed flush on the chin and he finished the fight quickly with Whitehead on his back.
King Mo does need to be given credit for taking this fight at Heavyweight. Mo did have the potential comment of the night when he referred to his weight class as "moneyweight" implying he will fight in any class as long as he gets his money. Tonight though he was 50 pounds smaller and weighed in at 216. Clearly he is better suited for Light Heavyweight and that is where his real future is. Fighting a fat 250 is different than fighting a true heavyweight. The win is nice from King Mo, but it did not show us anything new.
