Jacare Submits Lindland
Jacare looked amazing. Lindland appears to have fallen off the athlete cliff. He looked slow, did not finish a early takedown, and was outmatched everywhere in the fight. The speed difference made the fight appear unfair on the feet and as soon as it hit the mat the fight was over. Hopefully Lindland is simply fighting the best, but I am not sure who he can take at this point. I cannot stress enough how slow he looked on the feet.
Souza was freakin amazing. His work on the ground was not surprising and we knew once the fight got down there it was over. I was impressed with the significant improvement in his striking. His punches were crisp, quick, and he kept moving. For a fighter that was known as a one dimensional fighter it was interesting to see such a vast improvement. Not sure where he goes from here. The division is strong and it appears Henderson is fighting Shields for the belt. He will probably fight in Dream next, maybe a repeat fight with Miller.

accidently hit post to early
Unlike most – Jacare is an ATHLETE on top of his technical mastery. He looked very quick on his feet and not just compared to Lindland. His hands actually looked to have decent speed compared to anyone in MMA. I would say his speed was comparable to Josh Thompson in the next bout. VERY impressive.

Agreed, Jacare’s had some serious stand-up improvement and that is prob due to his athletic ability.
Don’t look now but SF has themselves a nice lil MW division

The UFC picked up the wrong elite grappler at 185… after last night I can’t think of anyone, other than Anderson Silva, at MW who Jacare doesn’t have a chance against. I hope his striking keeps improving, adding a little more polish to his boxing would go a long way, especially coupled with his dominant grappling. One of the things I enjoyed about the fight was the mix guard work and top control. Great fight.
