Shine Fights Signs Three New Fighters

Picture_1_medium

Last night Shine Fights announced that they had singed three new fighters. WKR decided to give a brief introduction for the three newcomers. Enjoy.

The biggest name of the three is definitely Murilo "Ninja" Rua (17-10). Murilo is the older brother of Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and fights out of the Universidade da luta fight camp. "Ninja" is a Pride, Strikeforce, EliteXC and Dream veteran with notable wins over, well, he actually has a lot more notable losses to big name fighters like, Rampage, Ricardo Arona, Kevin Randleman, Denis Kang, Paulo Filho, Dan Henderson, Robbie Lawler and Benji Radach. But "Ninja" did beat Xavier Foupa-Pokam recently so he has that going for him. Murilo Rua is 2-2 in his past four fights.

Alexander "Storm" Shlemenko is is a middleweight fighter who cut his teeth in the International Absolute Fighting Council (IAFC). Shlemenko boasts an impressive 25-4 record and is 10-1 in his past eleven fights dating back to 2007. Shlemenko began his career with a 15 fight win streak until dropping three in a row, one to "Jacare" and two to "Pele." This Russian fighter has fought for ShoXC's Elite Challenger series where he defeated Robert McDaniel. Shlemenko also fought for Bodog where head kicked Diego Vitosky into the ropes like a rag doll in one of the feww memorable highlights from that failed promotion. Alexander has to be one tough Cossack after all he was born in Omsk, Siberia and if Enemy at the Gates has taught me anything that means his grandpa made him try to kill wolves as a five year old.

Jesse "Kid Hercules" Forbes (10-3) is the final fighter that Shine signed. Some of you may remeber Forbes from the third season of The Ultimate Fighter. Ken Shamrock (worst coach ever) picked Jesse to specifically beat Tito Ortiz's number one pick, Matt Hamill. How wrong Ken was. Jesse lost his first bout to Noah Inhofer but when Noah was kicked off Jesse came back with a mohawk only to lose to Josh Haynes. Jesse got one last chance to break into the UFC when he fought Matt Hamill at the Finale but once again Forbes lost. It should be noted that Jesse was only 22 at the time and had only two professional fights outside of the TUF competition. Since then Forbes has gone 8-2. Jesse Forbes is a member of Arizona Combat Sports camp, which includes Jamie Varner, C.B. Dollaway, Ryan Bader and Aaron Simpson.
