WEC and Versus Agree to an Extension

Photo

MMA Fanhouse confirmed that the WEC and Versus have inked a long term deal to continue broadcasting Zuffa owned Mixed Martial Arts on the Comcast owned sports network.

While the details of the extension are unknown this revelation iesures that there will be no WEC-UFC merger in the future.

WKR has consistently held the position that as long as Versus and Zuffa held a television contract there would be no merger. That fact hasn't stopped the constant WEC-UFC merger rumor mill and hopefully this extension will put to rest those rumors, at least for a little while.
