Even the most ardent BJ Penn detractors out there (and there are plenty) can admit that the man known as "The Prodigy" is the best lightweight on the planet and one of the pound-for-pound greats in the sport.
But where does he rank in the list of all-time greats?
As much as it pains me to say this, B.J. Penn might be the best ever.
WKR's E. Spencer Kyte's latest offering focuses on BJ Penn's place in the history books.

Fedor. Anderson. Couture. Liddell. Saku. Crocop. Hendo. Big Nog. Wandy. Shogun. Machida. Gomi. Coleman. Lesnar. Ortiz. Belfort. Rampage. Franklin. Miletich. Hughes. StPierre. Severn. Shamrock. Gracie. Just to name a few greats.
Yeah, Penn is better than some of those. But not all of them. No way, no how.

You know I love ya Spencer but you’re way off on this one.
There’s no way Penn should be considered the best P4P fighter when he has a losing record in every other weight class but LW.
A much better choice for P4P best would have to be Anderson Silva who has fought and beat top competition in weight classes other than MW.
Good read though.
