MMA Mania is reporting that Thiago Alves and Jon Fitch will likely meet at UFC 111 in Newark, New Jersey in March of 2010.
It was previously reported that Alves would be on the New Jersey fight card, which features a welterweight title fight between Georges St. Pierre and Dan Hardy.
Jon Fitch and Thiago Alves were suppose to meet at UFC 107 but a torn PCL forced Alves to withdraw from the fight. Fitch stayed on the card and defeated Mike Pierce via unanimous decision.
Fitch is 3-0 (all decisions) since his title shot against Georges St. Pierre. Alves will be fighting for the first time since he lost to St. Pierre at UFC 100.

Two title fights will be good, and though Fitch is boring, he’s tough as nails so it should be a good fight with Alves.
