Pete Sell and Matt Brown on Maincard at UFC 96

Ohio native Matt Brown will fight Pete Sell on the televised portion of UFC 96 in Columbus, Ohio on March 7th.

With the promotion of Brown and Sell that means the UFC has to relegate both Kendall Grove and Brandon Vera to the undercard. Both of these fighters have greater name recognition then Sell and Brown. Grove is fighting Jason Day while Brandon Vera is fighting Mike Patt.

UFC 96 appears to be the weakest Columbus fight card. Both of the prior events featured title fights and former champions. UFC 96 could be  described as a rising star fight card.

Personally I am extremely disappointed with the fight card and it feels like a filler event so the UFC can cash in on the Arnold Classic market.
