UFC News and Notes

Well it was a long weekend capped off with an excellent title defense by Mike Brown. Here are some quick updates from the UFC world. 

- Ben Saunders vs. Mike Swick is in the works for UFC 99. Ben Saunders was originally slated to fight at UFC 96 but pulled out due to an injury. 

- Josh Koscheck will return to the Octagon for UFC 98 and fight against Team Quest fighter, Chris Wilson. Some were hoping that the UFC would give Koscheck a top-ten opponent to allow him to rebuild quickly after his first round loss to Paulo Thiago. That does not seem the case with this fight, but could occur later in this year. 

- Rashad Evans has signed a contract extension with the UFC. This new deal replaces the ten fight TUF contract that Rashad signed in the second season of The Ultimate Fighter.

- There is a rumor that lightweights Mac Danzig and Joe Stevenson could meet soon. This could be a fight to determine who remains in the UFC. 

- Noguiera accepts fight with Couture. They are slated to fight in August
