Report: Matt Hamill vs. Brandon Vera

According to MMA Madness a possible bout between light heavyweights Matt Hamill and Brandon Vera is in the works for UFC 101. 

UFC 101 is currently rumored to take place in Philadelphia. The main event  would feature a lightweight title bout between current champion, B.J. Penn and number one contender, Kenny Florian. A fight between Hamill and Vera would add much needed depth to the card.  

Brandon Vera (10-3) was once a promising heavyweight prospect for the UFC. After dropping two fights in a row at heavyweight, Vera moved down to light heavyweight, where he is 2-1. Vera last fought at UFC 96 and defeated Michael Patt via TKO. 

Matt Hamill (6-2) also just fought at UFC 96, where he defeated Mark Munoz. Hamill is a former contestant of the third season of The Ultimate Fighter.
