WKR gambling advice for UFC 96

Casinogamblerrex_468x462_medium

It's that time of the month where no one listens to my gambling advice (and rightfully so). So without further adieu here is WKR's gambling advice for UFC 96.

Keith Jardine (+250) over Quinton ‘Rampage' Jackson (-325)
There are several reasons why I am going to put some money on Keith Jardine. The first is that if he wins you get a great payoff for your investment.  Two and half dollars for every dollar bet, now that is every gambling addicts dream. Especially since Jardine has shown apt at using leg kicks, and Jackson has shown trouble dealing with them. I think there is a great chance that Jardine will be able to win this fight via decision, a la his fight with Chuck Liddell. Now there is a risk, I personally picked Jackson for this fight, but as a fan who is looking to make a quick buck this feels like an acceptable risk.

Gabriel Gonzaga (-170) over Shane Carwin (+140)
Gonzaga has only lost to two fighters, Fabricio Werdum and Randy Couture. Shane Carwin may be on the rise, but seriously, he is not on par with Werdum or Couture. I am shocked that the odds haven't breached the -200 range for Gonzaga, so that's why I am putting my money on Gonzaga.

Pete Sell (-135) over Matt Brown (+105)
God this fight is awful for the televised portion of the fight card. Sell has a 2-5 record in the UFC. But most of that time was at middleweight. Sell is undefeated at welterweight, granted it is only one fight, but for the odds being so close I will go with the fighter whose nickname is a character from Rocky IV. Wait a minute, Drago lost in the end, hmmm maybe this isn't a smart move

Jim Miller (+135) over Gray Maynard (-165)
Again I am betting against my own picks, but that's what happens when you make them at the beginning of the week and have seven days to ponder every outcome. Now Miller is no slouch, he boasts an 13-1 record and defeated another TUF 5 standout in Matt Wiman. While Gray is a better wrestler, it is quite conceivable that Miller will employ a similar strategy and win. Besides the Miller brothers have done a great job with their opportunities in the UFC. I am not confident in Maynard's striking to be able match Miller's. So I think Miller will be able to pull out a decision victory and earn me a pretty penny.

Last fight WKR went 3-0

I know. In the past 24 hours I have really talked myself into Jardine as a good bet. Could def be a bad thing though
