Jose Canseco to fight for Dream
There is something about MMA right now that is bringing out all the freaks and free loaders.
The latest chapter involves Jose Canseco.
I guess MMA really has become big time now, sigh....
Jose Canseco will face off against Korean giant Hong Man Choi at Dream.9. That adjective was not me being colorful, Hong Man Choi would've been in The Princess Bride if Andre the Giant wasn't around.
You do have to appreciate the Japanese for their colorfulness, just listen to the title of the event, “Super Hulk Tournament ~World Superman Championship~”. Talk about a mouth full.
I guess to qualify in the Super Hulk Tournament you have to take steroids.
To recap, Jose Canseco will be fighting a Korean giant in Japan in an event called "Super Hulk Tournament." Someone get on the horn with Mel Gibson and make sure this isn't a sign of the 'End Times'.

Back in the day, I used to be a big pro wrestling fan. I mean huge. I had the video games, the t-shirts, you name it. I spend a lot of money on front row tickets to events. I was a huge fan and kind of proud of it. Then, around the early 2000’s, wrestling got really bad. I mean really bad thanks to one promotion, the WWF/E, and the excessive garbage they put out. By about 2003, I was ashamed to be a wrestling fan. Now, even though I still watch occasionally, I won’t admit it to anyone (except a popular MMA web site, obviously).
Anyway, how does this relate? Well, I’m worried I’m going to have to start being ashamed of MMA thanks to Dream. The cartoon mask guy was bad enough but JOSE CONSECO! This is an embarassing farce. Hell, there is nothing Dana White could say or do that would embarassing the sport more than this. I mean he take out Loretta Hunt like OJ while reciting passages out of Mein Kampf all while being filmed by TMZ and it wouldn’t embarass MMA like JOSE CONSECO!
Ugh…I just shake my head sometimes.

I understand...
My dream for MMA is that I can be in a bar not during a fight and mention “mixed martial arts” without someone being like, “is that ultimate fighting” or “Chuck Liddell is the best, when does he fight again…”
