UFC 96 PPV buys

Ufc96_10_rampage_vs_749536a_medium

UFC 96 drew approximately 350,000 pay-per view buys, not a bad number considering the weakness of the card.

Some considered that the UFC 96 PPV buy rate would a be a direct referendum on Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson's drawing power. If that is indeed the case then Jackson's baseline draw, without a perceived legitimate opponent or any help from the undercard or co-main event, is 350,000.

Those numbers look pretty good when you consider the fact that Anderson Silva drew only 275,000 buys at UFC 90. Though the undercard for that card was significantly stronger, though Silva's opponent was a greater unknown then Keith Jardine.
