Ricky Hatton talks UFC and Michael Bisping

Ricky Hatton is set to fight Manny Pacquiao this weekend in boxing biggest bout of the year. 

I find it remarkable how much more play this fight is getting in the mainstream media compared to big UFC matches but hey no one really cares about MMA. 

But that doesn't mean Ricky Hatton won't tell us how he feels about the UFC and th U.K.'s most popular MMA fighter. (via Brawl Sports)

"I do like the UFC," Hatton said. "I like it when both fighters are standing up - the clinching kind of gets a little boring at times although I do admire the technique that the fighters use. Holding and holding and ending up on the mat can become a little bit boring but I am a UFC fan and I do like the UFC."

And the most popular British boxer says he doesn't know the most popular British mixed martial artist, but he admires him.

"I've never met Michael Bisping," Hatton said. "But I know people who know him and I think he's doing Liverpool and the Northwest of England very proud."
