Dana White: "It was a hit piece"
FanHouse Dana White Interview from Ariel Helwani on Vimeo.
Yesterday we linked to a Boston Herald story where White refused to yield an inch to the E:60 profile or any of his detractors.
Today MMA Fanhouse posted a new video interview of Dana White. It starts with Ariel Helwani and White discussing the upcoming release of THQ's UFC 2009 Undisputed. The topic then turns to the E:60 profile,
Helwani: Last week they profiled you for E:60 I am curious because I haven't heard you give your take on how the piece went...you said you thought it was going to be a hit piece. Now looking back at it were you happy with it, do you think it was fair?
White: No, no it ended up being a hit piece
White goes on the lampoon E:60 for putting a parental warning in front of White's segment when no disclaimer was put in the previous segment that addressed a student being viciously assaulted by a basketball player (score one for Dana).
White goes on to dismiss the Tito Ortiz story as ‘beaten to death' (completely agree) and discuss Pat Miletich.
According to White their fallout was due to the third season of The Ultimate Fighter. White states that Miletich was set to coach the season but at the last minute White decided to have Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock as coaches. Pat found out before White could tell him ultimately leading to the fractured relationship.
Helwani and White also discuss UFC 98, Mirko 'Cro Cop' Filipovic and John Hackleman.

Love Ariel’s work.
Dana White’s comment on about the previous segment on E:60 was money.
