Who is Cro Cop fighting at UFC 99?

Cro-cop_medium

Several weeks ago it was discovered that Mirko 'Cro Cop' Filipovic was returning to the UFC and would fight at UFC 99 in Germany. Currently it is rumored that Cro Cop will fight Mustapha Al-Turk.

Yet in a recent interview by MMAforReal Al-Turk's original opponent, Todd Duffee, thinks he is fighting Al-Turk at UFC 99,

Rich Wyatt: It was recently reported that you have signed with Zuffa to compete in the UFC. However, with Cro Crop supposedly back in the fold, it appears that he might have taken your spot on the card in Germany next month. Any idea when you may next be booked for a fight?

Todd Duffee: As far as I'm concerned I'm still scheduled to fight on the card in Germany. I'm still in preparation for this June 13th fight against Mustapha.

Neither Duffee, Filipovic or Al-Turk are officially listed on the UFC 99 card at ufc.com.

Todd Duffee might want to, you know, call Joe Silva or something.

Wierd. Should’nt the UFC have this sorted out by now? I know Al Turk has said he’s fighting Cro Cop. Seems a little disrespectful to leave Duffee in the dark like that.

I would bet money that Duffee’s lawyer threatened some contract violation action, which is why the UFC is so mum about the whole deal, and why Duffee (probably on his manager/lawyer’s advice) just keeps saying that it’s on. That would also mean nothing official will be announced by the UFC or put on the website until they’ve wrapped it up lest Zuffa hurts their own case, legally speaking. I have no reason to believe that other than that it makes perfect sense.
